Tessie's Place

In the mid-1940’s, “Club 90” opened on Jefferson Hwy, in the area now known as “Old Jefferson.” The restaurant enjoyed a wonderful reputation throughout the city, and was particularly famous for the Fried Chicken. After losing their lease in 1976, the family business re-opened in 1977, calling the new restaurant “Tessie’s Place.”

We are open Monday through Saturday, for lunch and dinner. Please call 835-TESS (8377), and we will have your order ready when you get here! It has been our pleasure to continue serving so many of our old friends, and meeting so many new ones. Thank you for being with us today and our family looks forward to seeing your family again soon!
