Ozone Music Education Foundation is a Louisiana-based, federally tax exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Foundation provides music education, support and mentorship to those wanting to learn the music industry, and develop skills and knowledge as songwriters and musicians.
In 2019, the Ozone Music Education Foundation launched the Ozone Music Gifting (OMG!) program as a community service project. Through the program, students between the ages of 10 and 18 earn musical instruments and are given music lessons.
Events and Information
The first weekend of November (Nov. 5th-7th, 2021) is our Foundation’s featured event, the Ozone Songwriter Festival. Friday, the 5th will be our seminar day, with topics ranging from legal issues to social media and how to use it, home recording, and how to be a better life performer. Saturday the 6th will be a day of songwriter performances on four different stages at the Mandeville Trailhead. It will culminate that night with an all-star group of songwriters that have had many hits on the radio and elsewhere. Sunday morning the 7th will be our Christian Songwriter sessions. Then we kick off at 1pm, continuing until 6pm as the four stages feature local and regional songwriters. Proceeds from all the event goes to our Ozone Music Gifting (OMG!) program.
We also hold a monthly Songwriter night that allows scheduled songwriters to perform in one of the two round spots. The evening ends with an open mic time.
