Griswold Home Care was founded by the late Jean Griswold in 1982, making us the oldest non-medical home care franchise organization in the country. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1969, and she understood the importance of needing support without losing independence. Jean’s love for her community and dedication to care for her neighbors has grown into a nation organization with an enduring mission: to get people the help they need to live in the place they love. Our company was built upon the timeless values of compassion and care. These ideals are still at the heart of all we do. They are the living legacy of a remarkable woman who set out not to create a business, but to help neighbors in need. Jean Griswold’s idea was so powerful that it evolved and grew to become a nationwide organization that now serves tens of thousands of people every day.
