Charleston Oncology is monitoring COVID-19 daily and complying with all CDC, OSHA, DHEC and national government guidelines to protect our patients and staff. All five centers remain open with additional precautions in place including entry screening stations set up to check patient temperatures and conduct questionnaires, daily staff screening, and wider spacing out of appointment times.
At this time we ask that you only bring a visitor if mobility assistance is required. Allowing only screened patients in the treatment areas is among the many ways we continue to protect all our immune compromised patients. We are rescheduling non-essential patient appointments to a later date. Each physician's medical assistant will call scheduled patients to provide next steps for their appointment. Decisions for patient appointments will be made on a case-by-case basis. We continue to care for new patient cancer diagnoses. Our team of physicians and staff are constantly evaluating the current COVID-19 state. Our first priority is to our immune-compromised patients. Your physician will make decisions based on your unique needs.
