The Black Hills Visitor Information Center in Rapid City welcomes you with an array of free services like expert trip planning, free maps, brochures and travel guides all designed to smooth your way and max your vacation fun in the Black Hills and Badlands.
Stop in our gift shop to pick up exclusive Black Hills Road Trip Gear, Motorized Trail permits, State Park passes, local coupons and other great South Dakota-made products and souvenirs. We offer a South Dakota Wine Shop, bookstore, free exhibits, free Wi-Fi, sparkling clean restrooms, pet exercise area and plenty of free large pull-through parking.
Purchase a Black Hills Motorized Trail Permits in the gift shop, available as a seven-day consecutive pass or an annual pass. Annual passes are also available for purchase online. When purchasing your pass online, please allow 8 to 10 business days for shipping and processing.
